Most small business owners have no idea what it means to run a business, until they jump in with both feet and start learning how to swim. Statistics tell us the chances for success are slim but we have to try. Those who focus solely on practicing their trade, i.e. as electrician, painter or professional organizer, soon find themselves overwhelmed. They might be happy billing out 30 to 40 hours a week, but they never imagined how many additional hours are needed to handle customer service issues, financial chores like bill paying and bookkeeping, marketing to keep the phones ringing. The list is endless.

At the Association of Home Professionals we realize how valuable your time is, and that everyone isn’t great at marketing. We applaud members who want to learn how to successfully market their businesses. We also know that successful marketing doesn’t mean you have to do everything yourself. Successful marketing means:

  • Creating a marketing strategy, plan and budget to implement the plan
  • Tracking and analyzing results to find vehicles that deliver the best Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Maintaining consistent marketing, to build brand recognition and profitable results

All business owners have to delegate, and marketing is the right choice for many owners. It’s important to learn what you like, and what you’re good at. Then you are ready to delegate. The Association of Home Professionals offers you ways to implement your marketing strategy without doing it yourself.

  • Done 4 You – are marketing vehicles you can plug into your marketing strategy that take little or no time on your part. You can count on them to keep working for you, while you handle other aspects of your business. We will prototype these services and expand offerings when they prove effective for our members. We currently offer newsletter and blogging (sample) Done 4 You products which are listed on our member resource page.
  • Marketing Pros – are marketing professionals who enjoy working with small business owners and professionals. Many  are recommended by members of the Association of Home Profesisonals. The benefit of working with these people is their involvement in our community. They contribute articles to our blog, sample marketing collateral to our marketing library and they are invested in consumer marketing, and our target market … women home owners.
